ISTE Standards

Significance & Purpose

The Instructional Technology section of this portfolio showcases the work that I completed as part of the Master of Science in Educational Technology program at the California State University, Fullerton from August 2020 through December 2021. The program is fully aligned to the Coach Standards of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

During my final semester in grad school, I realized that I wanted to transition into instructional design and e-learning, so I enrolled in IDOL courses Academy. That is why there are, essentially, two halves to my portfolio. This half is geared toward coaching other educators.

International Society for Technology in Education

As their website states:

"ISTE’s vision is that all educators are empowered to harness technology to accelerate innovation in teaching and learning, and inspire learners to reach their greatest potential."

"ISTE inspires educators worldwide to use technology to innovate teaching and learning, accelerate good practice and solve tough problems in education by providing community, knowledge and the ISTE Standards, a framework for rethinking education and empowering learners."

ISTE Standards for Coaches

Mastery of the coaching standards indicates that educators can be leaders in their workplace and in their community.  For evidence that I have addressed all seven standards, select the buttons below.
